The Atlanta filmed basketball comedy ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ renewed for Season 3 at Starz.
The critically acclaimed basketball comedy series will be returning to the Starz Network for another season.
The second season of Survivor’s Remorse earned 1.34 million during it’s second season breaking records for the Starz Network.
The LeBron James produced TV series features Jessie T. Usher as a basketball player forced to balance playing basketball and dealing with family issues.
“We are thrilled to renew Survivor’s Remorse for a third season,” said Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik. “Since it began, the critics instantly embraced the show, and now we’ve seen its fans grow season over season. This all-star creative team, led expertly by Mike O’Malley, boldly tackles the most topical of issues with heart and humor as the Calloway family deals with ‘pro-money and pro-problems’ off the basketball court. We are very happy and proud to have them return to Starz for another season.”
Survivor’s Remorse is produced by Tom Werner, Maverick Carter, LeBron James, Mike O’Malley, Paul Wachter and Vic Levin.
Starz Network has featured several breakout series including the drama series Power, the network’s most watched series. But, it is clear that the network is targeting African American audiences with more diversity in their original programming line-ups.
