Film crew’s cars were damaged during Leisure Seeker shoot in Atlanta.
Filming is at an all-time high in Atlanta, Georgia. But, crew members on the Atlanta set of the upcoming Leisure Seeker were reportedly upset when they found their cars filled with water in a parking lot where they were told they had to park or be towed.
According to Deadline, 20 to 25 cars were flooded and several of the cars were totaled. Deadline recently spoke with several of the crewmembers. One crew member said it was “the worst experience” they have ever had in their entire career. Another crew member said, “I’ve never been treated like this. It’s very degrading….humiliating”.
It was first reported that the movie’s producers were not going to pay for the damages. However, Deadline reported this morning that they will provide rental cars for those whose cars are unusable for the duration of the shoot “as a courtesy” and also “would like to cover” auto insurance deductibles for cars that need repair.
Leisure Seeker centers around a retired couple (Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland) who embark on an adventure in a Winnebago. The movie is based on a novel by Michael Zadoorian. Helen Mirren is most famous for Academy Award winning role as The Queen in 2006 and the upcoming Fast 8 feature film. Donald Sutherland is most known for his role in The Hunger Games as President Snow.
