Warner Bros. is working on a new Warner Bros. movie.
After more than a dozen years, Warner Bros. is bringing Scooby and the gang bang back to theaters, this time in the form of a cartoon.
According to reports, Tony Cervone, an Emmy nominated animator who already has experience directing several Scooby Doo movies, is directing the movie, which Warner Bros. has planned for release by September 2018.
The Scooby Doo movie will be produced by Allison Abbate who has worked on hits such as ‘The Iron Giant,’ ‘The Fantastic Mr. Fox’ and several Tim Burton movies.
Warner Bros. plans on expanding the Scooby Doo franchise with this new feature film. In fact, the president of creative development and worldwide production, Greg Silverman said:Â “Like countless fans, I have always loved the Hanna-Barbera cast of characters. As one of their most famous brand ambassadors, Scooby-Doo will take the lead in re-introducing this pantheon of enduringly popular animated stars on a grand scale with an exciting new movie.”
