Saturday Night Live Ratings Drop to an All-Time Low

Date:

Nobody is watching Saturday Night Live any more

Have you watched the new season of Saturday Night Live? Most likely not. Ratings for the new season of SNL have fallen to an all-time low in both total households and the important 18 to 49 demographic. The decline began last season and continued even as Bill Hader, a popular former cast member, returned to host last night.

The long-running show has recently lost a good deal of major names, so perhaps this slump is a rebuilding phase or it could mean the end of a once popular TV series.

The decline in ratings may be the reason why Kenan Thompson is rumored to leave the TV series. Last month, TMZ reported that Kenan would leave Saturday Night Live for other TV and movie endeavors.
