Sandra Bullock received a huge payday for the Oscar nominated feature film ‘Gravity’.
In a rare deal that guaranteed her a portion of the box office profits, Bullock will be walking away with nearly $70 million dollars for ‘Gravity’.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bullock will make about $70 million dollars for her role in ‘Gravity’. The movie is her biggest paycheck yet. According to THR, Bullock was able to use leverage in order to seal the deal. “Bullock’s deal with Warner Bros. for the Alfonso Cuaron-directed space epic calls for her to earn $20 million upfront against 15 percent of first-dollar gross. That means once her advance is covered, she will collect 15 percent of the studio’s slice of the box-office pie, known as ‘film rentals.'”
With “Gravity making over $700 million dollars worldwide, that means she is expected for a huge chunk of change. The deal she had is similar to Robert Downey Jr’s deal for Ironman which made him about $50 million dollars for the third sequel to the movie.
It makes ‘Gravity’ worth watching again, and again…
