The ‘Anchorman’ actor, Paul Rudd will play Dr. Hank Pym in the upcoming Ant-Man.
Paul Rudd has recently been cast in his first superhero flick as the lead in the upcoming Marvel action movie, Ant-Man.
The Anchorman actor beat Joseph Gordon-Levitt to secure the role and will play the genius Dr. Hank Pym. Dr. Hank Pym devises a method to shrink himself to the size of an ant. So think Honey I Shrunk the Kids but with more action!
Paul Rudd, who turned 44 this year made his way through Hollywood as a comedic actor, but it was reported that he contributed significantly to the Ant-Man screenplay, as he did with other comedies such as Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and The World’s End.
The decision to have Paul Rudd work as the lead role in Ant-Man, was due to Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s commitment to produce another superhero movie, Sandman, according to BBC News.
2015 will be a very competitive year for movies. Zach Snyder’s Superman vs Batman, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Fantastic Four and Star Wars Episode VII.
