Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen want Season 2 of ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’
While they don’t announce plans, actors Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan)and Hayden Christensen (Anakin), who play these two biggest roles in our favorite movie series, Star Wars, have revealed that they want to return, and have spoken out about wanting another go around.
When British GQ asked McGregor about returning to the galactic franchise after two decades and reuniting with Christensen on set, he said that if they could do one of these now and then “I’d just be happy about it.” The actor also mentioned how intimidating Darth Vader’s full costume was when discussing his first scene as such in the front camera lens. He went on to say “There were so many things going through my mind – including ‘I’m actually doing this.’ That feeling didn’t go away for six years!” for more episodes.
With five released so far, Disney+ latest hit has now moved onto its finale, and naturally, fans are asking if there will be a second season.
Recently, Christensen made his desire to return for a second season quite clear when he appeared on RadioTimes and admitted that the series was originally intended as a stand-alone but sees more storytelling opportunities in store. “Well it was definitely conceived as an open-ended story.”
Ewan McGregor is a Scottish actor, known for his roles as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Renton in ‘Trainspotting’ (1996), and Christian in ‘Moulin Rouge’ (2001).
Hayden Christensen is a Canadian actor and producer. He began his acting career on Canadian television at the age of 13. He was praised for his acting as Sam in ‘Life as a House’ (2001), which earned him a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Leading Young Actor. Christensen gained international fame for his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in ‘Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones’ (2002).
