After over a year of anticipation, the world finally received its first glimpse at Air — an upcoming movie that chronicles Nike’s risky decision to invest in Michael Jordan. The film will feature Ben Affleck and Matt Damon co-starring alongside each other for the first time. We can’t wait to view this cinematic masterpiece!
Ben Affleck will direct and portray the company’s co-founder Phil Knight in the highly anticipated Nike drama. Damon has earned the role of playing Sonny Vaccaro, the Nike executive responsible for getting Michael Jordan to sign an endorsement deal with the brand. Noteworthy cast members include Viola Davis as Deloris Jordan, Matthew Maher as Peter Moore, Marlon Wayans as George Raveling, Chris Tucker as Howard White, Jason Bateman portraying Rob Strasser, and Chris Messina in the role of David Falk. Julius Tennon stars as James Jordan, with Gustaf Skarsgård playing Horst Dassler for added depth to this stellar ensemble performance.
