Nicki Minaj’s backup-dancer was bitten by Boa Constrictor at VMA Rehearsal.
One of Nicki Minaj’s dancers was bitten by a six-foot boa constrictor while rehearsing Nicki Minaj‘s latest song, “Anaconda,” on Friday. According to MTV, reported that her injuries are not life-threatening.
According to TMZ, The rapper was rehearsing for this Sunday’s VMA performance when the dancer was “bit by the reptile in front of everyone.” Apparently, this was the the first time the snake named Rocky ever bit a human before.
During the rehearsal, the woman had the snake draped around her shoulders and, at some point, was bitten by the non-venomous, docile reptile known for wrapping tightly around its prey and squeezing. The music was stopped shortly after the dancer was bitten and a concerned Minaj said, “Did she get bit by the snake?” [MTV]
Boa constrictors are non venomous but, boa constrictors will strike when they perceive a threat. Their bite can be painful, especially from large snakes.
Another snake will be brought in and it will either be a boa constrictor or a python.
