Jared Leto sent the cast of Suicide Squad used condoms and “anal beads”
Jared Leto was reported to have done some off-the-wall things on set of Suicide Squad, including making the director David Ayer hire a therapist to help the cast, and sending the cast and crew a dead hog and live rat. In fact, Leto also revealed that he thinks he should be put away “in a box after this movie comes out.”

New reports suggest that Leto’s antics really pushed the envelope.
Leto just told me he also sent everyone… used condoms and anal beads! “I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there,” the Oscar winner told me while promoting the movie at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. “The Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries.”
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Killer Croc, says he received “sticky Playboy magazines” from Leto. (Via)
Will Smith said, “He really set the tone. He wasn’t playing with it. He was dead serious as an actor. He was going in and he was 100 percent going into this character.”
All of which begs the question – is Jared Leto a great method actor or just insane?
We will have to wait until this summer to officially find out when the Suicide Squad movie is released.
