Less than a week after Disney and Marvel released their Super Bowl ad for Avengers: Infinity War, fans have already dissected every frame of the 30-second trailer and it has led to some speculation and a background actor going viral.
Debuting during the Super Bowl matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots, Marvel debuted the latest trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. The trailer featured action scenes, a ton of background actors, and possibly a new superhero.
Beyond Spider-Man and Iron Man’s new suit or Captain America’s new shield, the Marvel fan community has focused on a specific scene at the 11 seconds mark in the 30-second trailer. You can see someone behind Captain’s left arm for a brief second and people are assuming it is Captain Marvel.

It is extremely tough to tell if this is a background actor or a new superhero added to the franchise. However, it is important to note that this is not the first time a background actor has gone viral. Last May, Dwayne Johnson posted a photo from the set of Fate of the Furious and it featured several background actors in the background. The photo would later gain over 1 million likes on Instagram. Then, there was a photo of a background actor in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, which had many Marvel fans speculating the debut of Miles Morales.
Avengers: Infinity War opens May 4.
