Man pulls a gun after getting into a fight at a movie theater.
Kentucky police reveal that they will seek charges against a man who pulled out a gun during a screening of Star Trek Beyond. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Paducah law enforcement was called to a Cinemark movie theater Saturday morning after a fight broke out among patrons. Once police arrived, a man told officer Dana Davie that the fight started after his son kicked the back of another man’s seat.
According Paducah Police Department, witnesses said they saw the man stand up and began cursing the boy asking him if he was going to keep kicking his seat.
The boy’s father then stepped in and the two men started to fight.
“As the father got the upper hand in the fight, witnesses said, the other man pulled a gun and said, ‘What the (expletive) are you going to do now,’” the police department wrote on their Facebook page.
Other moviegoers started running after they realized a gun was pulled. Three Cinemark employees and patrons escorted the gun-wielding man out of the venue, and stayed with him until police arrived to make their arrest.Now the unnamed man is banned from entering Cinemark property.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. However, it did bring back memories of tragedies that took place inside movie theaters.
