Miley Cyrus breaks down during Saturday Night Live premiere.
Miley Cyrus shocked viewers on Saturday Night Live by doing something a little different. Despite wearing a crazy wig and joked about smoking weed, the actress and singer was sincere.
Acting as a host and musical guest, Cyrus performed two tracks from her latest album “Miley Cyrus and her Dead Petz.” The first saw Miley Cyrus using her immense singing power, as she sang the beautiful ballad “Karen Don’t Be Sad,” with her band that featured members from the hit group The Flaming Lips.
The second song was all Miley Cyrus. The 22-year-old delivered a solo version of The Twinkle Song a fragile song dedicated to her deceased pets who were memorialized on top of her grand piano. The emotional weight of the song led Miley Cyrus to let out pitch perfect notes before breaking down into tears.
In the desensitized world of modern-pop music, being so vulnerable has definitely showed a softer more kinder sad to Miley Cyrus. That behind that rough and outlandish exterior hides an innocent young woman who can still shock the world with her amazing musical abilities. And honestly, Miley Cyrus knows that and that’s why millions of people tune in every week to see what she’s going to do next.
