Chinese man caught smuggling Apple’s iPhone 6s in his underwear.
A man was caught smuggling eight iPhone 6s in his underwear. A smuggler was stopped at the Hong Kong-China border on Wednesday trying to sneak in eight Apple 6 smartphones into China, according to The South China Morning Post.
The man hid the phones by wearing three layers of underwear and placing the phones between the layers. He was caught by customs officials and he confessed that he bought the iPhones in Hong Kong and planned to sell them in Shenzhen.
China did not receive the iPhone 6 during the initial launch thus creating a black market for the phones. The average cost for an iPhone 6 in China is $2,500 according to reports.
Currently, Hong Kong custom officials have seized more than 1,800 iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 Plus models since the phone was launched in the city last Friday.
