Filming for the Magic Mike sequel, Magic Mike 2, Magic Mike XXL is officially wrapped.
Magic Mike XXL has finished filming. According to Chad Darnell, the extras casting director for the Magic Mike sequel, filming for the Magic Mike sequel has wrapped.

Magic Mike XXL featured Channing Tatum as Michael “Magic Mike” Lane, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Alex Pettyfer, Adam Rodriguez, and Jada Pinkett Smith. “Magic Mike XXL” will be released on July 4th in 2015 and will center on the first film’s male exotic dancers road-tripping to a strippers’ convention.
In a Twitter Q&A, Channing Tatum confirmed work on a sequel. Tatum responded:”Yes, yes and yes! We’re working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger.”. By March, Magic Mike first AD, Greg Jacobs was chosen to direct the sequel, titled Magic Mike XXL. In September, it was announced that Matthew McConaughey would not return for the sequel but, Jada Pinkett Smith would join the cast. Filming for Magic Mike XXL started in late September in Savannah, Georgia. The biggest scene took place on Jekyll Island on October 27th where the cast filmed the Strippers Convention scenes.
