Luke Perry has died.
Perry, who was best-known for his long-running role on “Beverly Hills, 90210” has died following a strong, USA TODAY reports.
“He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends,” Arnold Robinson a rep for Luke Perry told USA TODAY in a statement. “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”
Luke Perry, who is originally from Ohio, was one of the biggest stars from 90210 thanks to his role as Dylan McKay. In an attempt to escape typecasting he left the show before it ended. Perry sought out a wide array of roles including playing a preacher in the HBO prison drama “OZ”. In 2016, Perry became famous all over again after starring in the CW series “Riverdale”, where he plays Fred Andrews, a candidate for mayor and father to Archie, who is played by K.J. Apa.
