Teens fake being pregnant and sneak candy into a movie theater by taping a watermelon to their stomach.
Ticket prices are at an all time high and the average millennial has less than $1,000 saved in their savings accounts, so this next piece of news is not that surprising. Several teenagers sneak snacks into a movie theater by pretending to be pregnant by using watermelons.
Priscilla Banuelos, Angelena Silveira and Alyssa Lopez, all 18 years old, recently went to see Star Trek Beyond at a Galaxy movie theater in Riverbank, California. At this particular movie theater, the cost of a movie ticket is $10.75. That’s not extremely expensive, but that money adds up when you buy popcorn and a soda. So rather than spend another $15 per person, the women taped watermelon halves to their stomachs and pretended to be pregnant.
“We used duct tape and Saran Wrap and they stayed, and we ended up pulling it off with no questions asked,” Banuelos told Mashable, adding, “You could tell people were pretty judgmental because we were such a young group and we were getting a lot of stares from people in the lobby.”

They made two mistakes though.
- The only thing they could put inside their watermelon was candy.
- They couldn’t throwaway the watermelons away
Teens are truly amazing, until they are not.
