Latest James Bond Movie Releases Casting Call for a Lead Villain Role
A casting call has been released for the upcoming James Bond 24 movie, which is expected to start filming in December.
According to reports, the casting call is looking for a new villainous henchman.
“Casting has begun for the main assassin, with the search specifically focussed on someone extremely physically fit and over 6ft 2,” reads the report. “Whoever wins the role will have several altercations with Daniel Craig’s 007 throughout the film and also a driving sequence.” [via]
The casting call is pretty broad and open ended. Essentially, James Bond producers and casting directors are looking to find someone unique looking.
“Former sports athletes will be under consideration along with anyone ‘very unusual’. The character has the working name of ‘Hinx’ (which may change before shooting starts) and is said to be between 30 and 45 years old.”
Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the British spy and the director of Skyfall will return along with writers John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. “I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honour all my theatre commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24,” says Mendes. “I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time.”
Daniel Craig has signed a long term deal that will lock him in until after the 25th Bond movie. Ralph Fiennes is also confirmed to direct the sequel.
The next James Bond movie will premiere on October 23, 2015 in the UK and November 16, 2015 in the United States.
