Is Lady Gaga the next Harley Quinn?
Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix could be starring opposite each other in a new film from Todd Phillips called Joker 2.
Reports indicate that the House of Gucci star and award-winning musician is in early talks to play the role of Harley Quinn, Joker’s former psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum who becomes his on-again-off-again romantic partner.
Phillips’ presentation of Harley Quinn has not yet been revealed, but it’s said that the film will now take on a musical tone. Whether or not this means we can expect some rousing song and dance numbers remains to be seen.
The official title of the upcoming sequel as it has been revealed by Phillips is Joker: Folie à deux, named after a psychiatric syndrome in which two or more people share an identical illogical belief.
