Jimmy Fallon Never Invited Screech to the ‘Saved By the Bell’ Reunion

Date:

Jimmy Fallon did not invite Screech to the ‘Saved by the Bell’ Reunion.

Jimmy Fallon’s Saved by the Bell Reunion was a instant viral hit. Millions of people commented, watched, and reminisced over the group of teenage high schoolers turned adults during the Tonight Show. But, several cast members of the original cast of Saved By the Bell were not there including Screech and Lisa.

According to a recent interview with St. Louis’ Fox 2, Dustin Diamond pointed out that he was never invited to attend the reunion.

“It would have been fun, but I don’t see it as a personal insult,” said Diamond. The actor found out about the skit prior to its airing, when his girlfriend’s friend texted her and informed her of the reunion.

Dustin Diamond pointed out that since he worked on Saved By the Bell, he has become a struggling actor. “It’s a shame. My parents wasted so much of my hard work. A lot of my youth.” His parents spent most of his money, leaving the actor with just a few hundred-thousand-dollars from 10 years of work.

After a sex-tape, a reality show, and a recent bar fight Dustin Diamond now works as a stand-up comedian, struggling to pay bills and make ends meet.

“Here’s the way I look at it. I walk a very honest and humble path, and I know what kind of person I am. I’m very comfortable where I fit in life,” said Diamond. “I’m playing comedy clubs. I’m not rich, but I make a living. I’ve tripped and fallen many times in my life. If you don’t, how do you learn?”

Despite everything that has happened to Dustin Diamond over the last few years, the Saved By the Bell Reunion could have been a lot better with Screech!
