Mark Ruffalo to Jason Statham: ‘You’ve Got Nothing On Me’
Jason Statham may be one of Hollywood’s token tough guys, but that doesn’t mean Mark Ruffalo is going to back down.
Recently, Jason Statham called out the actors behind the Marvel franchise saying “anybody” could be an action hero in a Marvel movie – even his grandma:
“A lot of the modern sort of action movies I see, you know, Marvel comic sort of things, I just think, any guy can do it. I have no ambition. I mean, I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and then put her in a greenscreen, and then have stunt doubles come in and do all the action. Anybody can do it. I mean, they’re relying on stunt doubles, and greenscreen, and $200 million budget, it’s all CGI-created. So to me, that is not authentic. I’m inspired by old, real star guys that can really do it.”
When asked bout Statham’s comments at the premiere of his upcoming movie, ‘Infinitely Polar Bear’, Ruffalo had something to say. “I mean, do you really need to ask that question? It’s Jason Statham…He’s like a featherweight. He’s got nothing on me! Clearly.”
Ruffalo has to admit, there’s a lot of CGI involved in making a Marvel movie and in order for actors like Mark Ruffalo to star in there has to be a ton of stunt doubles. But, that’s the type of movies Hollywood likes to make.
Who do you think is right? Jason Statham or Mark Ruffalo?
