Now, Gillian Flynn revealed that she’s considering a sequel:

“There could be a sequel at some point if everyone is game to get the gang back together, it could be really fun a few years from now.”

“We could pick it up and see what those crazy Dunnes are up to a few years down the road and if they got on — not well I don’t think.”

A sequel to Gone Girl is a pretty good idea. Gone Girl received very positive reviews from critics. Rotten Tomatoes gives the film an approval rating of 89%. The site’s consensus reads: “Dark, intelligent, and stylish to a fault, Gone Girlplays to director David Fincher’s strengths while bringing the best out of stars Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike.” Metacritic gave the film a score of 79 out of 100, based on 49 reviews from critics, indicating “generally favorable reviews”. In addition, Gone Girl made well over $100 million dollars in the box office and that’s enough for any movie studio executive’s head turn.
