A ‘Fast & Furious’ Ride is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood in 2015
With the success of Fast and Furious 6, it looks as though Universal Studios is prepared to make ‘Fast and Furious’ an amusement ride at some point in 2015.
According to a recent New York Times article the new amusement park ride will be called “Fast & Furious – Supercharged,”:
Also coming next year, the company said on Tuesday, will be “Fast & Furious – Supercharged,” a movie-thrill ride hybrid in which occupants of Universal’s famed back-lot trams will be encircled by 400-foot-long movie screens. “We’re going to make it feel like those trams are being pulled through the streets at speeds of over 100 miles per hour,” said Chick Russell, an executive producer for Universal Creative.
It is interesting to note how long it took for Universal studios to finally decide to make a “Fast & Furious” amusement park ride. As production re-starts production for the seventh ‘Fast & Furious’ movie and Paul Walker’s death it looks as though producers and executives are trying their best to take the action series to the next level.
