Victoria’s Secret model quits after being told to lose weight.

An open secret in the modeling industry is that models are forced to lose weight in order to keep their jobs or stay hot in the modeling industry. But, one model is trying to break the industry’s hidden rules.

After being told she needed to lose weight, a model decided to walk away from one of the biggest deals in the modeling industry, Victoria’s Secret. For five years, model Erin Heatherton was one of the biggest models in the modeling industry. But in 2013 the model mysteriously quit working as a VS Angel. But she has finally reveals why she decided to stop modeling for Victoria’s Secret.

In an interview with Time magazine, she said, “My last two Victoria’s Secret shows, I was told I had to lose weight.

“I look back like, ‘Really?’”

Erin reportedly worked out twice a day for her last Victoria’s Secret show, but she was unable to each the weight she needed for the show.

She remembers: “I was really depressed because I was working so hard and I felt like my body was resisting me.

“And I got to a point where one night I got home from a workout and I remember staring at my food and thinking maybe I should just not eat.”

But, it took a long time before Erin was able to accept leaving Victoria’s Secret but, she has been finally able to accept herself.

She said: “I stepped away from hiding behind a fabricated version of myself.

“I no longer put actions behind my fears and insecurities.”
