Watch Denzel Washington in the new trailer for ‘The Equalizer’.
This is the first international trailer for Denzel Washington’s new movie, “The Equalizer,”.
Based upon what we have seen so far, this movie going to be the perfect production for the Academy Award Winning Actor.
Washington plays a man with “possible military training,” who takes on the Russian mob because of an innocent girl he barely knows is in trouble.
As Washington points out in the book he is reading in the trailer, “It is about a guy who is a knight in shining armor, except he lives in a world where knights don’t exist anymore.”
The Equalizer features Denzel Washington, Chloë Grace Moretz, Marton Csokas, Melissa Leo and Haley Bennett.
The movie centers on a retired intelligence officer Robert McCall played by Denzel Washington, who turns into a ruthless vigilante for the helpless. He decides to help a young hooker Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he gets attacked from the Russian mafia, and in particular Teddy, a brutal killer (Marton Csokas).
In 2010, it was announced that Russell Crowe was to star in the upcoming movie. But, in December 2011, it was reported that Denzel Washington was going to bring the movie to life.
“The Equalizer” is directed by Antoine Fuqua, the director of “Training Day” and the movie that led Denzel Washington to his first Academy Award.
There are also plans for a possible sequel.
“The Equalizer” is due out on September 26.
