David Oyelowo Never Broke Character on ‘Selma’ [VIDEO]

Watch David Oyelowo describe the acting challenges he faced while working on ‘Selma’.

In Selma, David Oyelowo plays Martin Luther King, Jr. during the events surrounding the 1965 Selma voting rights marches. While David Oyelowo was snubbed during this year’s Academy Awards, he received widespread acclaim by critics during the weeks leading up to its limited release on Christmas Eve.

In a conversation with the Screen Actors Guild Foundation, Pete Hammond of Deadline interviewed David Oyelowo about the movie role and what it was like playing the legendary character. During the course of the interview you hear David Oyelowo describe what it was like working on the movie. Oyelowo even explains that throughout the movie he never broke character.
