Chris Hemsworth promises the new Thor movie, Thor: Ragnarok, will be different than the previous Thor movies. In a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor explained that he grew “bored” of himself as the Marvel character.
“Every day was about exploring the unknown and trying something different,” Hemsworth said during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday. “I had got pretty bored of myself as that character and so did [Taika], maybe a few people out there [too], so we thought, ‘Let’s do something different.’”
Giving Thor a haircut, Hemsworth explained, was part of the transformation. The actor has played the role of Thor for two previous movies and also reprised his role in The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron and a scene in the movie Doctor Strange. He will be reprising his role once again in the upcoming feature film Avengers: Infinity War.
“Ragnarok” was directed by Taika Waititi and stars Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, Cate Blanchett, Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba.
