O.J. Simpson is not too happy with the new FX show, The American Crime Story.
O.J. Simpson has not seen an episode of FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, but he gets filled in about the show, and apparently he’s not too pleased.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s source, a retired guard who worked where O.J. Simpson has been placed since 2008 following his armed robbery conviction, O.J. Simpson has several complaints.
Apparently, Simpson is upset that Hollywood cast Cuba Gooding Jr. to play him. “[O.J.] knows he is taller. He knows he is better looking. He has a bigger head. He is more muscular,” says Felix.
In addition, O.J. Simpson says the show makes him look guilty. “He is unhappy with the show because it is kind of making it seem like he is totally guilty.”
In addition, O.J. Simpson says that he’s upset that the show shows that he failed a lie detector test. “He told me he passed that [test] years ago,” says Felix, who has a book coming out about his time with Simpson, Guarding the Juice.
Simpson is unable to watch FX or DVDs. But, O.J. Simpson is a “model inmate” who is most likely going to get parole by 2017, which will allow the former football player to bingewatch the series. “He is trying to lay low in there,” Felix says. “He is doing a great job.”
But, being behind bars has not stopped the press from following him. “Every year thousands of people request interviews with him,” Felix says.
