Katy Perry ‘s Twitter account was hacked with the hacker leaving a mysterious message: “Taylor Swift do u ever feel like a plastic bag?”
Katy Perry is one of the most popular celebrities on social media. Her Twitter following has millions upon millions of followers. In fact, she is only a few hundred thousand short of 90 million followers. However, on Memorial Day her account was hacked leaving her private messages, social newsfeed and other private information open to hackers.
According to reports, the account started using racial slurs, homophobic language, and the hashtag #HackersGonnaHack. The account was quickly taken down and the hacker messages were erased without any news of what happened. However, a song was quickly released online.
The hacked account signed off with a mysterious tweet telling Katy Perry’s 89 million followers to “haha follow @sw4ylol #hackersgonnahack”, who appears to have claimed responsibility for the hack.
According to The Guardian, @sw4ylol, the alleged hacker’s account, which is still online but appears to be suspended reportedly shared an unreleased track from Perry on SoundCloud and a screenshot of the singer’s email account.

The link to the SoundCloud file shared by a user named “slut” was removed from Twitter, along with several other tweets from the account. The alleged hacker’s account still shows a takedown notification from SoundCloud for Witness 1.3, after the song was removed from the service.
