FX’s The Bastard Executioner ratings drop in total viewership and the key demographics.
FX’s The Bastard Executioner had horrible week two ratings as the number of people watching the new series from the creator of Sons of Anarchy dropped by several million.
This week’s episode suffered similarly significant drops in adults 18-34 (down 55% to a 0.30) and adults 25-54 (down 48% to a 0.47).
While the introduction of heightened competition from broadcast network programs did not help matters, it doubtfully explains the entirety of this week’s drop. “The Bastard Executioner” clearly failed to hook its premiere week viewers.
But, there is still hope. Editor over at TVLine.com, Matt Mitovich, revealed that FX’s Ceo, John Landgraf says it takes 60 days before a show’s true ratings appear.
FX’s John Landgraf: It takes 60 days to truly get a bead on a show’s full audience (DVR, VOD, streaming). Says even Live+3 is “antiquated.”
