This announcement comes on the heels of Gadd’s recent success with Baby Reindeer, which debuted in April and quickly became a phenomenon, receiving critical acclaim and generating substantial buzz. The series garnered 11 Emmy , with Gadd winning two for his performance and writing.

In Baby Reindeer, Gadd portrays Donny, an amateur comedian who faces a harrowing ordeal of harassment over several years. The character is subjected to an overwhelming number of intrusive communications—including 41,000 emails, 744 tweets, and 350 hours of voicemails—from a woman named Martha, played by Jessica Gunning. Martha, who has a of stalking convictions, ultimately receives a nine-month jail sentence for her threats and harassment against Gadd.
