Fox finally pulls the plug on ‘American Idol’. ‘American Idol’ is now canceled after it’s 15th season.
Months after Coca-Cola pulled their ads from ‘American Idol’, Fox has finally canceled the singing-competition series. It is a sad day for aspiring singers hoping to get discovered on the reality show.
Fox announced the news today in a press release that the show’s upcoming 15th season, which begins next January, will be its last:
“A season-long celebratory event, American Idol XV will feature host Ryan Seacrest and judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., as they search for the final Idol superstar and pay tribute to the past 14 seasons of amazingly talented contestants and the millions of fans who tweeted, texted and championed their Idols.”
It will be the last time we ever see Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick together as judges picking and choosing the next top talent. Will this final season be the biggest ever? We will have to wait and see.
