Following the verdict in the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation case, insider KC Walsh claims that Warner Bros. Pictures is set to remove actress Amber Heard’s sequences from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The reports say a high-level meeting was recently held to decide whether or not to remove Heard from Aquaman 2.
Amber Heard’s filming occurred most of her sequences in London in the Fall of 2021, and her exit might be attributed to an on-screen death. It is speculated that Mera’s character will die during childbirth at the start of the sequel to ensure that she is absent from the film. The decision is expected to help prevent bad publicity from hurting the film’s box office performance.
The release date for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been set for March 17, 2023.
