Jake Gyllenhaal Will Star in the Amazon ‘Road House’ Remake.
A retired UFC fighter-turned-roadhouse bouncer stars in the film. Road House, the Amazon remake of the 1989 action film of the same name, has Gyllenhaal in place to star.

The original film, which starred Patrick Swayze as a retired UFC fighter who takes a position as a bouncer at an uncouth roadhouse in the Florida Keys, is about an ex-fighter who starts to uncover corruption in his hometown.
The Road House remake cast includes Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior, Euphoria’s Lukas Gage, Billy Magnussen, and Gbemisola Ikumelo. Hannah Love Lanier, Travis Van Winkle, B.K. The other cast members are Cannon, Arturo Castro, Dominique Columbus, Beau Knapp, and Bob Menery.
The screenwriter will be Bob Goodman, and the director will be Doug Liman. Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry have written the script.
In addition to executive producing, JJ Hook will also have through their company, and Alison Winter and Aaron Auch will executive produce. Silver Pictures and JJ Hook will co-produce.
The movie will begin shooting in the Dominican Republic later this month. While a premiere date has not been set, it will be available to stream on Amazon Video.
