Afeni Shakur, Tupac’s Mother, Has Died

Tupac’s mother Afeni Shakur has died at 69.

The Marin County Sheriff’s office reported Tuesday morning that Afeni Shakur Davis, the mother of late rapper Tupac Shakur, died Monday night at 69. The Sheriff’s Coroners Office will lead the investigation to determine the “exact cause and manner of Afeni Shakur’s death.”

Shakur Davis died at her home after the Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a possible cardiac arrest at her home.

Afeni was an executive producer on All Eyez on Me, an upcoming biographical drama about her son’s life starring Demetrius Shipp Jr, which filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
