“Youth” Short Film Casting Call in Dallas, Texas
LOCATION: DALLAS, TX
“YOUTH” is a short narrative film that displays the beauty and deception of teenagers. It is a collaborative project that will come together to create the film, photographs, artwork of the characters and a poem. Below I have listed the characters and what their parts are.
SYNOPSIS: bright lights at a gas station at 10pm. cold fries, red seats, and the smell of hamburgers at 12am. stadium bleachers and illuminating sparklers at 2am. nostalgia..deception, years of friendship dissolved into nothing at 3am. the youth are no longer innocent, were they ever?
ASPEN: GIRL, Ages 16-25, any race, Portrays real and raw emotion throughout the film. Must be comfortable with kissing and having romantic gestures with another male actor. Role only has minimal dialogue – most of it will be improv and responses to situations.
PHOENIX: BOY, Ages 16-25, any race, portrays real and raw emotion throughout the film. Must be comfortable with kissing and having romantic gestures with a female actor, also must be comfortable shirtless. Role has minimal dialogue – most is improv and responses to situations.
IVY- GIRL, Ages 16-25, any race, Portrays real and raw emotion throughout the film. Must be comfortable with kissing and having romantic gestures with another male actor. Role only has minimal dialogue – most of it will be improv and responses to situations.
FORREST – BOY, Ages 16-25, any race, portrays real and raw emotion throughout the film. Role has minimal dialogue – most is improv and responses to situations.
JOANNE – GIRL, Ages 16-25, any race, Role has minimal dialogue – most is improv and responses to situations.
