Spike Lee is now casting for NBA 2k16.
Want to appear in a Spike Lee movie? Love NBA2k16? Casting directors are looking for you!
Spike Lee, the director who essentially discovered and launched Denzel Washington’s acting career, is asking for NBA2k16 fans for an upcoming feature film. The winner of the casting call will apparently land a role in the new Spike Lee movie, Livin’ Da Dream. He or she will also get to join Spike Lee and 2K at the NBA 2k16 launch on September 21st in New York City.
NBA2k16 was developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2k Sports. It is the 17th installment in the NBA2k franchise and the sequel to NBA2k15.
This year there are three different covers for the main game, one featuring Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans, another featuring Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, and the last featuring James Harden of the Houston Rockets. A special NBA2k16 edition will feature Michael Jordan and the French version will have Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs as the cover athlete.
Director Spike Lee had a major role in the development of the game’s MyCareer mode. According to reports Spike Lee’s goal was to create a more story focused MyCareer mode than previous installments.
Spike Lee worked with real world basketball players, following them and documenting their experience in high school and college competition, in an effort to more accurately depict the lifestyle of real professional basketball players.
According to reports, Livin’ Da Dream will be a major motion picture, and the winner will be filming several scenes days before the premiere in Novato, California.
