Details surrounding the roles the major cast will be playing is still underwrap but, it’s possible that Benicio Del Toro is playing the drug lord, since he plays the notorious cartel leader Pablo Escobar in the upcoming Paradise Lost.
Denis Villeneuve is directing from a script by Sons of Anarchy writer Taylor Sheridan, with Basil Iwanyk, Thad Luckinbill, Trent Luckinbill, Molly Smith and Edward McDonnell producing. Shooting is scheduled to commence this summer.
