Godzilla vs Kong may film in Atlanta, GEorgia.
Several months ago, Millie Bobby Brown’s Godzilla wrapped production in Atlanta, Georgia. Now, according to reports, Godzilla vs. Kong maybe headed back to the ATL.
Legendary Pictures is reportedly going to shoot a bulk of their footage for Godzilla vs. Kong in Atlanta. The upcoming Godzilla film was shot in Atlanta and Mexico City and it seems that the studio enjoyed what the Atlanta production facilities have to offer. In addition, there is a rumor that characters from Godzilla 2 will be returning for the upcoming crossover.
Atlanta is a huge production space but with so many TV shows and movies filming in the city, many studios are competing for stages to film their productions.
Godzilla was shot primarily in Vancouver (along with Hawaii and Las Vegas) while Kong: Skull Island filmed in Vietnam, Hawaii, and Gold Coast, Australia.
That said, it begs the question – when will filming start?
Well, it has not been announced when production will begin. But, the studio has set a release for May 22, 2020, which could give them time for reshoots and visual effects.
