NWA ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Movie is holding an Open Casting Call in Los Angeles
NWA Biopic “Straight Outta Compton‘ is holding an open casting call. Sande Alessi Casting, the extras casting director of ‘American Horror Story’, ‘Glee’, ‘Argo’, and ‘The Social Network’ is looking for African American men ages 18 to 36 with hairstyles fitting the period of 1985 to 1992. Think cornrows, braids, high top fades, flat tops, Jheri curls, afros, initials, zebra stripes etc.
After five years, several writers, and a picky group of writers, Universal’s N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton  is finally being made.
There were several open casting calls in Los Angeles, Chicago, Altanta and in New York. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has found actors to tackle the roles of Ice Cube, Dr. Drea and the late Eazy-E.
Casting directors are looking for people to play gang member types, family members, and street types ages 18 to 90. In addition, producers are looking for African American women ages 18 to 90 for various roles in the movie.
No experience is required.
To apply visit www.SandeAlessiCasting.com and download the card. When you arrive to the open casting call bring a 3×6 or 4×6 color photo of yourself and staple the photo to the size card bring it with you.
Producers will not be taking photos of you, so it is important for you to make sure to bring a photo of yourself.
The open casting call will be held on Sunday, July 27th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at City Banquet Hall, 2201 N Long Beach Blvd, Compton California 90221.
