Awkward is a teen drama which premeired in 2011 on MTV. The show is centered on the life of 16 year old Jenna Hamilton, play by Ashley Rickards, who is struggling to find her identity, especially after a particular accident is misinterpreted as a suicide attempt. The show is based on the high school, Palos Verdes High School in California. MTV renewed the show for a second season in the summer of 2011.“Awkward” features, Ashley Rickards, Beau, Mirchoff, Nikki DeLoach, and Brett Davern in association with Remote Productions, Mosquito Productions, and MTV Production Development.
