Producers for “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” are now hiring stand-ins
“Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” is based on the young adult novel by Jesse Andrews about an high school student in Pittsburgh forced by his mother to be friends with a girl struggling with leukemia.
“Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” will star Thomas Mann(Project X, Hansel & Gretel:Witch Hunter, Beautiful Creatures) and Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel,The Quiet Ones).
“Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” will shoot in the Pittsburgh for five weeks starting in Mid-June.
Mosser Casting is looking for stand-ins to work on the feature film “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl.” Casting directors are looking for actors available between June 16 to July 18, Monday through Fridaysa nd live in or very close to the Pittsburgh, area.
If you are unfamiliar, stand-ins are used in place of the actors to do camera and lighting tests. They should expect a 12-14 hour day that can start in the very early morning. Standins must be HIGHLY reliable and possess a strong work ethic. Production can’t begin each day without the Stand-ins present.
Actors will be compensated $150/12 and time and half after that.

Non-union Stand-ins needed for “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl”. Must be completely available between June 16-July 18, Mondays-Fridays and live in or very close to the Pittsburgh area. Also, you must have your OWN car!
Standins are used in place of the actors to do camera and lighting tests. They should expect a 12-14 hour day that can start in the very early morning. Standins must be HIGHLY reliable and possess a strong work ethic. Production can’t begin each day without the Standins present.
The rate is $150 for 12 hours and time and a half after that.
Who is needed:
– Caucasian male ages 18-25 years old. Light brunette hair, fair skin. 5’10-6’0 in height. (Would be needed full-time)
– Caucasian female ages 18-25 years old. Brunette hair, fair skin. Between 5’4-5’6 in height and weighing 100-130lbs. (Would be needed full-time)
– African American male ages 18-25 years old. Must have short hair. 5’10-6’0 in height.
