Thought the Casting Calls for Star Wars Episode VII were over? Not just yet!
Disney and Lucasfilm are currently holding open casting calls until December 3 for the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII. Two of the roles they are seeking are for younger actors.
One role is for a young woman in the 17 to 18 year old age range as a character named “Rachel”. Rachel is said to have been “quite young when she lost her parents. With no other family, she was forced to make her way alone in a tough, dangerous town.” Lucasfilm is also looking for a young male to play 19-23 years old (though the actor must be older than 18). The role is described as “athletic, smart, handsome, independent spirited.”
Both these roles have been confirmed by Lucasfilm, but The Hollywood Reporter is also reporting on a new role that has not been confirmed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lucasfilm is now also looking for “a 40-something military man a la Matt Damon in Elysium.”
