Jared Leto To Play ‘Morbius’ In the Upcomign Spider-Man Spin-Off

Jared Leto to play Morbius in the upcoming Sony Spider-Man spinoff.

Jared Leto is set to play the villain role of Morbius in Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off, which centers on the vampire villain from Marvel Comics.

Director Daniel Espinosa from Safe House will direct the movie. The movie will be written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama(Lost in Space), Morbius will be produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach with Lucas Foster, and with Sony’s Palak Patel overseeing for the studio, according to reports.

No plot details for Morbius have been released. The studio’s for Spider-Man movies including the Georgia-filmed Venom spin-off with Tom Hardy, which hits theaters on July 5th.
