Suicide Squad: Margot Robbie Reveals Why Jared Leto Scenes Were Deleted [VIDEO]

Date:

Margot Robbie reveals why Jared Leto’s scenes were deleted from Suicide Squad.

Suicide Squad may have some really bad reviews, insane petitions, and a possible lawsuit for false advertising, but one thing everyone seems to agree upon is that Margot Robbie was amazing as Harley Quinn.

Even before the movie hit theaters, Warner Bros. was considering making a Harley Quinn spin-off starring Margot Robbie.

That being said, one of the biggest complaints of the movie is that there weren’t many scenes of Jared Leto’s The Joker.

According to recent reports, many of the Leto’s scenes were deleted. Leto said he thinks his scenes were too twisted for theaters and they could form their own R-rated spin-off movie where we will finally get to see what The Joker can really do.

Recently, Robbie openly spoke about those deleted Jared Leto scenes. Robbie said:

“There was so much of our backstory… they probably realized that the emotional through-line of the story had to be the mission we were on, and kind of explaining The Enchantress’ position and all that kind of stuff, and the backstory stuff — though it’s like magic… there’s a lot but it just didn’t make sense to confuse the present storyline with that.”

And after watching Suicide Squad, I can understand where she’s coming from. There was a lot going on the movie and adding an extremely long backstory would really confuse audiences.

Or, maybe this is a publicity stunt in order increase DVD sales and make more money?
