The team is thrilled to kick off 2024 with an exciting and significant new project. They are currently casting for an educational video focusing on crisis intervention, tailored specifically for educators. This documentary-style video is aimed at training staff and students in effectively managing and understanding crisis situations. It’s important to note that the content will be available behind a paywall and is not intended for public consumer viewing.

About the Project

The video series is a part of a larger initiative to enhance crisis management skills among educational professionals and students. With a realistic and documentary-style approach, the video will serve as an invaluable resource in educational settings.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • REAL TEACHERS & STAFF (All ages/abilities):

Trigger Casting is seeking real-life teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, teaching assistants, and other school staff to bring authenticity to the project.

Roles Available:

  • 5 staff or teachers (general casting, no specific backstory)
  • 1 staff member or teacher who is an immigrant
  • 1 staff member or teacher with personal experience in trauma
  • REAL KIDS/TEENS (Ages 8-17):

A diverse group of children and teenagers who are easy to direct is sought for the video series.

Roles Available:

  • 10 kids/teens (general casting)
  • 1 neurodivergent child/teen
  • 2 children/teens with a physical disability
  • 1 child/teen with personal experiences of poverty, oppression, or abuse

Requirements

  • Availability for shooting in Chicago on February 3rd or 4th, 2024.
  • For teachers and staff, professional experience in educational settings is preferred.
  • For children and teens, guardians must provide consent and be present during shooting.
  • Ability to portray emotions and situations realistically.
  • Adherence to set protocols and directions during the shoot.

Compensation

  • Extras: $150 for 1 day.
  • On Camera Principals (OCP) students and adults: $500 – $700+ for 1 day, depending on the role and experience.
