HBO’s Boardwalk Empire Season 4 is Now Casting Actors and Other Talents

Casting Directors are now casting talent for Boardwalk Empire Season 4. 

Boardwalk Empire is an television series from premium cable channel HBO, set in Atlantic City, New Jersey during the 1920’s Prohibition era. Boardwalk Empire stars Steve Buscemi as Nucky Thompson. The show was developed by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter and producer Terence Winter (Terence Winter was the previous screenwriter and producer of the hit HBO series The Sopranos) from a book about historical criminal kingpin Enoch L. Johnson by Nelson Johnson, titled Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City.

The first episode, directed by Martin Scorsese, was produced at a cost of $18 million. That is a huge budget for a television series pilot episode. But,  on September 1, 2009, HBO picked up the series for an additional 11episodes. The series premièred on September 19, 2010. On October 2, 2012, HBO announced that the series was renewed for a fourth season. Now, Casting Directors are now casting talent for Boardwalk Empire Season 4.

Boardwalk Empire has received widespread critical acclaim, particularly for its visual style and basis on historical figures, as well as for Buscemi’s lead performance. The series has won twelve Emmy Awards and has received 30 nominations, including two for Outstanding Drama Series. The series also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama.

 

Casting Call and Audition Information

Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking the following for BOARDWALK EMPIRE:

  • young, Caucasian male skilled tennis players
  • African American men with hair (no dreds, braids or shaved heads)
  • 18-23 year old Caucasian male and female college students (including those willing to pretend to kiss/embrace on camera)
  • 70 year old Native American
  • 18-24 year old clean-cut, handsome Caucasian men

All men must be willing to get their hair cut short/shaped in a 1920s style. Women must have natural-colored hair, at least shoulder length. No dreds, shaved heads, or extensions. All adults must be willing to be around smoke or be willing to smoke. No visible tattoos, or obvious or artificial tans. No allergies to wool.
