True Blood is a television series created and produced by Alan Ball. It is based on the novels by Charlaine Harris, explaining the existence of vampires and humans in a fictional town in northwestern Louisiana. The show centers on the adventures and mishaps of Sookie Stackhouse, played by Anna Paquin, a telepathic waitress. The show is currently broadcasted on HBO, and produced along with Ball’s production company, Your Face Goes Here Entertainment. The show premeired in 2008, and has won several awards and critics approval. Awards include a Golden Globe, and an Emmy.
