FOX’s TV Pilot ‘Gotham’ is now casting background actors in New York City.
The new TV pilot based upon the Batman universe, Gotham, is centered on the origin stories of Commissioner Jones Gordon played by Ben McKenzie, as a rookie detective in Gotham City, and Bruce Wayne after the death of his parents, and the villains that made Gotham City infamous. Jada Pinkett Smith has also been cast to play Fish Mooney, a imposing, sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner with street smarts.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, is being written and executive produced by The Mentalist showrunner Bruno Heller. Danny Cannon (CSI, Nikita) will direct and executive produce the pilot.
Grant Wilfley Casting is currently looking for background actors to work on various roles in the project. They are looking for hispanic and African American actors to portray punk rock/rocker types. They are looking for men and women with mohawks and piercings. Fittings are scheduled for Thursday, February 27th and talents that are selected will work from mid-March until early April.
