Gerard Butler’s next major motion picture “Geostorm” is ramping up production in Louisiana.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, is a sci-fi adventure feature film starring Gerard Butler. “Geostorm” centers on a satellite designer (Gerard Butler) when the world’s climate-controlling satellites malfunction, has to work together with his estranged brother to save the world from a man-made storm of epic proportions.
Warner Bros. “Geostorm” will be directed by Dean Devlin and it will be his directorial debut. Dean Devlin has been in the film industry for several years. Devlin co-wrote the critically acclaimed and box-office hit, Independence Day and 1998’s Godzilla.
Now, producers are seeking crew members to work on the production. According to the Louisiana Film Commission pre-production started on July 7th and filming is set to begin in October in New Orleans.
